The Pre-Quarter final and Quarter final round took place today of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Golf Championship at the Golmuri Golf Club.
In the first Match, Ribhav Verma won 6&5 over Jaiveer. Pratham Choudhary won after 5 rounds of play-off over Gulfam Hussain in the second match. In the third match, Bimal Singh Sardar won 3&2 over Hiransh Singh. The fourth match saw Ayaan Gupta go through to the quarter finals with a 3&2 win over Chaitanya Pandey. Suveer Kapoor won 6&5 won over Tanish R Gowda in the fifth match. In the Sixth match, Vinamra Anand won 4&3 over Om Paldhikar. Pritish Singh Karayat won 4&2 over Ranveer Mitroo in the seventh match. Ayush Pannu won over Zorawar Randhawa after three rounds of play-off.
In the quarter finals, Ribhav Verma won the first quarter final match over Pratham Choudhary after three rounds of play-off. Ayaan Gupta won the second quarter-final match 2&1 over Bimal Singh Sardar. Vinamra Anand won the third quarter-final match on the final hole over Suveer Kapoor. In the final quarter-final match, Pritish Singh Karayat won 5&3 over Ayush Pannu.
Tomorrow’s round will see the four semi-finalists go head-to-head to qualify for the 36-hole final round. 18 holes of the final round will take place tomorrow, and the remaining 18 holes will be played on Sunday due to logistical constraints.
