With the two consecutive stroke-play rounds finishing on December 17, the Match Play round of the IGU 124^th Amateur Championship of India began today, on December 18 at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata.

The 32 players who qualified for the Match Play round after yesterday’s stroke-play round by making the cut, teed off from 7:30 AM.

A total of 16 matches took place today, in which Anshul Mishra (20^th), Sukhman Singh (5&3), Arjun Singh (4&3), Ayaan Gupta (2 up), Deepak Yadav (2&1), Arjun Singh Bhatia (4&3), Sidhant Nathan (3&2), Harjai Milkha Singh (19^th), Danish Verma (6&4), Jaash Parekh (7&5), Ribhav Verma (3&2), Ranveer Mitroo (1 up), Harman Sachdeva (3&1), Shamit Dakhane (1 up), Kanav Chauhan (1 up), and Angad Singh (19^th) qualified for the Pre Quarter Final Match Play round, which is scheduled to be taking place tomorrow, on December 19, in the first half.

A total of 8 matches with 16 golfers will be taking place tomorrow in the first half, during the Pre Quarter Final Match Play round, after which, only 8 golfers will qualify for the Quarter Final Match Play round, scheduled to be conducted in the second half of the day.

With the tee offs for the Pre Quarter Final Match Play round scheduled tomorrow, on December 19, at 7:30 AM, preparations seem top-notch among the 16 qualified golfers.
