Press Release
IICP – Tollygunge Club Hope Cup, a unique charity golf tournament that blends the spirit of competition with a cause that truly matters. Scheduled for January 23rd and 24th, 2026, this highly anticipated event will once again witness over 300 players teeing off in the exciting Texas Scramble format.
The Hope Cup was the brainchild of David Panter, a passionate golfer and long-standing member of the Club, who envisioned the tournament as a way to harness the power of sports to foster inclusivity. His belief in combining fun with competition has played a pivotal role in raising much-needed funds for the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP).
Now in its 52nd year, IICP continues to be a pioneering NGO offering subsidised, multifaceted services for children and adults with disabilities. Since the inaugural tournament in 2012, when Mr R.S. Bedi served as President of Tollygunge Club, the Hope Cup has grown into a significant annual event, managed with professionalism and dedication by Protouch Sports.
The Tollygunge Club has consistently supported this cause by generously providing its grounds, breakfast, and the venue for the grand prize distribution dinner. Over the years, the Hope Cup has evolved into a vibrant gathering of nearly 300 players every year, demonstrating the compassion and generosity of the golfing fraternity.
As we approach this year’s event, we look forward to golfers and well-wishers coming together once again to celebrate sportsmanship, camaraderie, and kindness. The Hope Cup is not just about golf; it is a testament to the difference that can be made when we unite for a greater purpose.
Join us for the 15th Hope Cup, January 23–24, 2026, and be part of this extraordinary journey of hope and inclusion.
