Scottie Scheffler finished a commanding week at The American Express with a closing 66, ending at twenty seven under par to win in the California desert. He stayed in front of a packed board through all four rounds and underlined why he holds the world-number-one ranking.

One stroke further back, Sam Stevens reached twenty two under after a 67, while Si Woo Kim slipped to the same number when an even par 72 ended his mid week surge. Sahith Theegala jumped to twenty one under with a 65 and Russell Henley carded 67 to close at that mark and land inside the top ten.
