Akshay Bhatia now stands alone at the top at 19-under par after a composed 4-under 68 in Round 3. It wasn’t the flashiest round of the day, but it was controlled, disciplined, and mature. While others made dramatic moves, Bhatia avoided mistakes and protected his position, giving himself a two-shot cushion heading into Sunday.

The biggest noise came from Collin Morikawa. The two-time major champion fired a stunning 10-under 62, the round of the day, vaulting himself into a tie for second at 17-under. Precise iron play and a red-hot putter turned his Saturday into a statement. If momentum means anything in golf, Morikawa has plenty of it.

Jake Knapp (66) and Sepp Straka (67) also sit at 17-under, keeping the pressure firmly on Bhatia. Both have been steady all week, and neither looks intimidated by the moment.

Jacob Bridgeman quietly moved to 16-under after a steady 68, while Hideki Matsuyama’s 67 pushed him to 15-under, still very much within reach if Sunday produces fireworks.

Further down, Maverick McNealy’s brilliant 9-under 63 launched him into a tie for seventh at 14-under, alongside Tommy Fleetwood and Min Woo Lee. Sam Burns, who started the week red-hot, stalled with an even-par round and now sits seven shots back.

One notable shift came from Ryo Hisatsune. After leading early in the tournament, a tough 2-over 74 dropped him to 13-under, leaving him with ground to make up in the final round.

With just 18 holes remaining, the script is clear. Bhatia holds the lead. Morikawa holds the momentum. And three players sit just two shots back.
