Collin Morikawa delivered when it mattered most. After charging into contention with a Saturday 62, Morikawa sealed the deal on Sunday with a composed 5-under 67, finishing at 22-under par to claim the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title. It wasn’t reckless. It wasn’t desperate. It was controlled, major-champion golf, precise irons, smart targets, and clutch putting down the stretch.
Starting the day two shots behind, Morikawa steadily applied pressure before taking control on the back nine. While others made moves, he didn’t blink.
Min Woo Lee gave it everything with a superb 7-under 65 vaulted him into a tie for second at 21-under, briefly threatening to steal the spotlight. Sepp Straka also posted a strong 4-under 68 to share runner-up honours, but neither could quite match Morikawa’s weekend surge.
Tommy Fleetwood continued his consistent week with a 6-under 66, finishing fourth at 20-under, alongside Scottie Scheffler, who produced one of the lowest rounds of the day, a stunning 9-under 63 to climb up the leaderboard late.
Akshay Bhatia, who entered Sunday with the lead, couldn’t find the same rhythm. An even-par 72 dropped him into a tie for sixth at 19-under, alongside Sam Burns, who closed with a steady 67.
Further back, a large group at 18-under included Ryo Hisatsune, Jake Knapp, Jacob Bridgeman, Shane Lowry, Nico Echavarria, and Hideki Matsuyama, all within reach but ultimately unable to mount a final-day charge strong enough to threaten the top.
This victory felt like a reminder. Morikawa doesn’t just contend, he calculates, he positions, and when the window opens, he strikes. A Saturday explosion. A Sunday lockdown. That combination proved decisive on the Monterey coast.
Pebble Beach questioned patience this week, and Morikawa answered it.
