Vinamra Anand wins the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship 2026, which was being held at the Chandigarh Golf Club, from February 24 to February 27.

Overnight leader for four consecutive rounds, Uttar Pradesh golfer Vinamra Anand (69-67-73-70) initiated his rounds with a 3-under 69 and 5-under 67 in the first and second rounds respectively. Though he struggled with a 1-over 73 in the third round, he maintained his lead, and played a 2-under 70 in the fourth round. At an overall score of 9-under 279, Vinamra cme through as the champion of the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship 2026.

Kanav Chauhan: Runner Up

Uttar Pradesh’s Kanav Chauhan (73-74-71-67), who lay second after the third round, improved his performance on the fourth round by shooting a 5-under 67 in the fourth round, his best over the four consecutive rounds, and at an overall score of 3-under 285, chased Vinamra to finish second.

Ram Singh Mann: Second Runner Up

Chandigarh golfer Ram Singh Mann (75-73-71-67), who lay third after the third round, played a better fourth round, in which, he scored his best of a 5-under 67. At an overall score of 2-under 286, Ram Singh Mann finished third.

Maharashtra golfer Shamit Dakhane (78-70-72-71) made his way up on the leaderboard by hitting a 1-under 72, is personal best, on the furth round, and at an overall score of 291, finished fourth.
