The 1107 Putting Skills Competition as part of March Skills Competition was organized by the Protouch Golf Academy on Sunday, March 8.
Junior golfers of various age categories took part in the skills competition, and displayed their putting skills, categorized into three different categories, on the basis of their level of skills, namely, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

Soham Jumrani and Shaurya Agarwal: Winner and Runner Up, Beginners Category
Novice Soham Jumrani won the Beginners’ category, playing two rounds of putting, followed by Shaurya Agarwal, who finished second.
Tough competition was displayed by the participants of the Intermediate category. The participants of the Intermediate category also played two rounds, after which Jayansh Lakhotia, Yugaansh Agarwal and Ayaansh Prasad tied for the first place. Two rounds of pay-off followed but Jayansh, Yugaansh and Ayaansh remained tied for the top spot, after which another round of play-off followed.

Ultimately, Jayansh won the Putting competition in the Intermediate category, putting closest to the pin, followed by Ayaansh Prasad and Yugaansh Agarwal, who finished second and third in the Intermediate category.

Ainesh Roy Chowdhury and Advika Agarwal: Joint Third Runner Up, Intermediate Category
Meanwhile, Ainesh Roy Chowdhury and Advika Agarwal jointly had the second highest scores, and finished tied fourth in the Intermediate category.
Jayansh Lakhotia, winner in the Intermediate category said, “I love putting. Whenever I come for classes and practice, I always practice putting and play friendly putting matches with my friends, or at times even with the coaches in the Academy. This has helped me win today, and in back to back putting sills competitions held every month”.
Shaurya Agarwal, runner up in the Beginners’ category, said, “I was hoping to win today. Anyway, I came second. I will work harder on my putting skills and try to win the next time putting is organized”.
All the children went home with a smiling face, flaunting their medals, and waiting eagerly for the 1108 Long Shot Skills Competition, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 22.
