Shiksha Jain took lead after the first round of the IGU West Bengal Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2026, which is being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from April 14 to April 16.
Rajasthan golfer Shiksha Jain shot a 1-under 69 in the inaugural round, and took lead in Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category, as well as A&B Girls Combined category and B Girls category.
Haryana’s Ceerat Kang shot an even par score of 70, and currently lay second in the Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category, followed by a group of golfers including Punjab’s Rabab Kahlon, Chandigarh’s Guntas Kaur Sandhu, and Haryana’s Avni Atreya, who lay tied third in the Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category as well as A&B Girls Combined category at a sore of 1-over 71.
Meanwhile, while Rabab also lay second in category B Girls, Delhi’s Rehnoor Malik lay third in B Girls at a score of 72.
Karnataka’s Aashna Amogha shot an 86 and currently leads category C Girls. While Haryana’s Nandini Rathee and Haryana’s Aaliyah Kalra jointly lay tied second in category C Girls at a score of 87, Uttar Pradesh golfer Vidushi Singh and Punjab golfer Gairat Kaur Kahlon jointly lay tied fourth at a score of 88.
