Adhiraaj Singh Gill takes lead after the opening round of the IGU Southern India Junior Boys Golf Championship 2026, which is being held at the Coimbatore Golf Club, from May 19 to May 22.
Punjab golfer Adhiraaj Singh Gill shot a 2-over 74 in the first round to take lead in A&B Boys Combined category.
Haryana’s Vihaan Jain and Prince Bainsla closely followed Adhiraaj, shooting a 75 and 76 respectively, to lay second and third respectively in the A&B Boys Combined category.
Shooting a 79, Delhi’s Chaitanya Pandey took lead in category B Boys after the first round, followed by Telangana’s Saatvic Kumar Singh and Haryana’s Siddhant Sharma, who shot an 81 and 82 to lay second and third in B Boys respectively.
While participants of A&B Boys and B Boys will play a total of 72 holes over four consecutive rounds, starting May 19 to May 22, the participants of C Boys will play a total of 54 holes over three consecutive rounds, starting May 19 to May 21.
Shooting an 82, New Delhi’s Shan Alvi leads category C Boys.
Haryana’s Drona Singh Dhull and Punjab’s Jot Sarup Gupta followed closely to shoot an 83 and 86, and currently lay second and third respectively in C Boys.
