The BMW International Open 2026 at Golfclub München Eichenried saw South Africa’s Hennie Du Plessis (-11) take the outright lead after backing up his opening -8 with a composed -3 in Round 2. His steady play has kept him just ahead of a tightly packed chasing group.

England’s Jack Senior (-10) surged with a brilliant -7 to climb into a tie for second, joined by Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz (-10), who carded a -5, and South Africa’s Michael Hollick (-10), who added a -4.

France’s Frederic Lacroix (-9) impressed with a -6, while England’s Paul Waring (-9), America’s Brandon Dalke (-9), and England’s James Dean (-9) all sit tied for fifth after solid rounds.

A large group at -8 includes Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger, England’s Ross Fisher, South Africa’s JC Ritchie, Spain’s Sergio Garcia, Germany’s Matthias Schmid, China’s Ashun Wu, Poland’s Adrian Meronk, Spain’s Manuel Elvira, France’s Oihan Guillamoundeguy, and England’s Harry Townsend. Each remains well within striking distance heading into the weekend.
