Austin Smotherman (-26) completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Bank of Utah Championship, closing with a steady -3 final round to secure a two-shot win at Black Desert Golf Course. After taking control midway through the tournament, Smotherman held off the chasing pack to claim the title with a composed performance on Sunday.
Doug Ghim (-24) finished runner-up after a solid -2 round, remaining within striking distance throughout the day but unable to bridge the gap. The American’s strong week included a superb third-round charge that kept the pressure on the eventual champion.
At -23, Trace Crowe and David Ford shared third place. Crowe posted a strong -5 final round, while Ford produced one of the day’s best performances with a brilliant -7, surging up the leaderboard to earn a podium finish.
Ben James (-22) and Kevin Streelman (-22) tied for fifth after consistent weeks, while Steven Fisk (-21) and Luke Clanton (-21) shared seventh place. Clanton was among the standout performers on Sunday, firing a sparkling -9 round to vault into the top ten.
Amateur Kihei Akina (-20) finished ninth, while John Keefer (-19) and Neal Shipley (-19) rounded out the top ten after steady closing rounds.
