Patna, India: The Patna Masters 2022, the 10th leg of the Indian Golf Union’s Eastern India Amateur Golf Feeder Tour 2022, was won by local favourite Rohan Sharan at the Patna Golf Club. The tournament was held on the 20th and 21st of August with more than fifty golfers across India. Rohan shot 5 over par 147 in both rounds of golf, five shots less than Chittaranjan’s Sahil Kumar Singh, despite the fact that Sahil’s home course is the Patna Golf Club, but he failed to capitalize on the advantage. Sahil won the Amateur division of the same event last year. Another notable performance was made by local star Vijay Kumar in the Mid Amateur Category, where Vijay shot 165 and defeated Tournament’s star Hyderabad’s Abhishek Mitra in just one shot.

Among the seniors, Prayagraj’s Deen Bandhu Singh, an officer with Indian Railways, won with a score of 173, followed by Patna’s Captain AK Jha (195).  Patna’s Capatin AK Jha won the super seniors title with a score of 195, followed by SC Singh of Patna, who shot 200 in both rounds’ combined gross score.

In the ladies division, veteran golfer Neel Kamal Ranjan won with a score of 214, followed by Patna’s emerging young lady golfer Anusha Kumar (264). The Patna Masters 2022 prize-giving ceremony took place on August 21st at Patna Golf Club’s Golf View. The winners were awarded prizes by the Club’s honourable president, Mohit Ahluwalia,  Secretary Arvind Singh, and Patna Golf Club’s Golf Captain, Roshan Sharan.
