The Round 1 of the AVT Champions Tour Mumbai event, being held at the prestigious Bombay Presidency Golf Club, saw Parthive Sanghrajka emerge as the standout performer amongst the field with a score of one under par gross. In the Overall Gross standings, Sandeep Singh Sandhu and David D’Souza followed Sanghrajka, with scores of 70 and 72, respectively.

The tournament, which features avid senior golfers, is a gross event which also includes individual nett categories and team categories for gross and nett.

In the category Age 50-54, Shashidhar Reddy trails behind Sanghrajka with a score of 73. Age category 55-59 is lead by Sandeep Sandhu followed by David D’Souza. Jehangir Tenkariwala leads the age category 60-64 with a score of 73, followed by Pushpendra Rathore and Bhupender Singh at 75.

In the age category 65-69, Dhananjay Date leads with a score of 80 followed by Anil Jule at 81.

The category 70+ top scorers were Gangesh Khaitan at 77 and Alan Singh at 80.

In the ladies category Paromita Mukherjee leads by a margin with a score of 76 followed by Tasneem Ali at 81.

Bhupender Singh topped the Individual Nett (H’cap 10-18) with a score of 63 while Individual nett (H’cap 0-9) is lead by Parthive Sanghrajka with a score of 65 nett.

In Team Gross, the quartet of David D’Souza, Suhas Kulkarni, Paromita Mukherjee, and Jehangir Tankariwala led with a score of 221.

The Team Nett division saw the team of Anil Jule, Azad Singh Ruhail, Bhupender Singh, and Rohit Kapoor post a leading 198.

Sing committee member Sanjeev Mehera mentioned that the golfers enjoy playing at BPGC because of its course condition, layout and history.

With the final round scheduled for tomorrow, anticipation builds as the golfers prepare to battle for the championship. Backed by ardent golf supporter Mr. Dilip Thomas, the AVTi Champions Tour continues to celebrate excellence in senior golf.
