Shaurya Sharma from Chandigarh emerged leader for the second day at the IGU Tamil Nadu Amateur Championship, which is being played at the Coimbatore Golf Course from November 19.
Shaurya Sharma (69-72) created a lead at the halfway stage with a total of 3-under 141 after carding a level par score in the second round.
Though he played a better first round, Karnataka’s Jaiveer trailed behind with a one-shot difference with a total of 3-under 141. Jaiveer scored a 1-over 73 to tie for the leading position at the end of the second round.
Delhi’s Rakshit Dahiya (71-72) put up a round of level par score, and was placed at the third position after the second round with a total of 1-under 143.
Gujarat’s Ishaan Chawhan, who was placed at the leading position at 5-under 67 after the first round, was placed at the eighth position after the second round in which he bagged in an 81.
Aryav Shah (72-72) was placed best among the West Bengal based Amateur golfers, as he secured the fifth position with a total of 144.
