India’s Diksha Dagar delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Lalla Meryem Cup, the season opener of the Ladies European Tour (LET) in Morocco. Finishing at 9-under par with rounds of 70, 73, and 67, she tied with the USA’s Cara Gainer after 54 holes, setting up a playoff for the title.

In the decisive extra hole, Gainer clinched victory with a birdie, while Diksha narrowly missed out after a bogey, securing a well-fought second-place finish. Another Indian golfer, Avani Prashanth, also made her mark by finishing 16th with the score of 71-74-70 finishing 4 under par in the event.

Despite the playoff heartbreak, Diksha’s strong start to the season highlights her growing presence in international golf. Her performance, along with Avani’s solid showing, made it a memorable event for Indian golf on the global stage.
