Tiger Woods believes that golfers who joined the LIV Golf league could return to the PGA Tour this year. He says talks to reunite the sport are making progress, especially with the involvement of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Golf has been divided since the LIV Tour, backed by Saudi Arabia, started in 2022. Many top players left the PGA Tour to join LIV, creating tension in the sport. A deal between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund was signed in 2023, but little progress has been made since.

Now, Woods thinks things will change. Trump recently met with PGA Tour board member Adam Scott and commissioner Jay Monahan at the White House. Trump has even said he could solve golf’s problems in just 15 minutes.

With these discussions happening, a big change in professional golf could come soon.
