Akie Iwai takes a lead on the first two consecutive rounds of the Honda LPGA Thailand, which is being held at the Siam Country Club, Pattaya, Chonburi, from February 20 to February 23.
Hitting multiple birdies, Japanese golfer Akie Iwai shot a 10-under 62 in the first round to take the lead. Despite having a difficult second round, Iwai managed to maintain her position in the lead, scoring a 5-under 67, and at a second-round total score of 15-under 129.
Swedish golfer Maja Stark hit several birdies with an eagle at the 7th, and a first-round score of 7-under 65, lay second after the first round.
Thai golfer Moriya Jutanugarn closely followed Stark to lay third with a first-round score of 6-under 66.
However, after the second round, US golfer Angel Yin replaced overnight leader Stark, by shooting an 8-under 64, and lay second at a second-round total of 13-under 131.
Thai golfer Jeeno Thitikul (68-64) rose in the leaderboard to lay third tied with Thai golfer Moriya Jutanugarn (66-66) with a second-round total of 12-under 132.
