The first round of the Leg 1 of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour began at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, on February 26. The golfers who were divided into five categories, namely Amateur (14-34 years), Mid Amateur (35-54 years), Senior (55-64 years), Super Senior (65+ years) and Ladies categories, played an exciting first round.
The Protouch Amateur Open 2025 teed off with intense competition as Anmol Mahajan set the pace in the Amateur category, finishing Day 1 with a score of 76.

Close behind, Jashan Bhaarat Shah and Bappa Sardar tied for second place at 78, keeping the title race wide open.
Col. Shreekant Tiwari: Leader, Senior Category
In the Senior division, Col. Shreekant Tiwari led the pack with a solid 79, followed by Dhananjoy Bose at 91.
Capt. Rana Chatterjee: Leader, Super Senior Category
Meanwhile, Capt. Rana Chatterjee, competing in both the Senior and Super Senior categories, finished the day with a score of 103.
With such close margins at the top, the competition promises an exciting showdown in the coming rounds.
The second round is scheduled to be held tomorrow, on February 27, with great anticipation building up among the budding golfers, eager to play an even better second round.
