The AVT Champions Tour Noida event concluded in thrilling fashion at Jaypee Greens Golf Course, bringing the 2024-25 season to a spectacular close. With tight competition across the board, the final round saw some incredible performances. The standout of the day was Kim Sanggun, who delivered a sensational two-under-par round, finishing with a total score of 145 over two days to claim the Noida event championship. Not far behind, Sandeep Sandhu played a solid even-par round, finishing as the runner-up with 147.

The battle in the individual age categories was just as intense. In Category A (50-54), HS Kang emerged victorious with a total score of 148, while Ashish Kapoor followed at 152. Category B (55-59) saw David D’Souza take the title with 152, with Jaideep Singh (158) finishing second. In Category C (60-64), Ankur Prakash (159) narrowly edged out Jehangir Tankariwala (160) for the win. GC Sharma (162) claimed victory in Category D (65-69), followed by Anil Jule (166). In the 70 and above category, Vijay Kumar (160) secured the win, while Dr. Kashmir Singh (165) finished runner-up.

The ladies’ competition saw an impressive performance from Paromita Mukherjee, who took the gross category title with a total score of 165, while Sanjoli Singh (173) finished in second place. In the ladies’ nett category, Malini Joshi showcased her consistency over both rounds to claim victory with a total of 148.

The team competitions were closely contested and added another layer of excitement. In the team nett category, Team Albatross, consisting of Sukhbir Singh, Pushpendra Singh, Sandeep Bhatotia, and Sandeep Chaudhary, secured victory with a total score of 446, narrowly defeating Team Inara, who finished just one shot behind at 447. Meanwhile, in the team gross category, the Chandigarh team of Padamjit Sandhu, Sandeep Sandhu, Jaspreet Bakshi, and HS Kang emerged victorious with a total of 455, edging out the Noida home team of Ankur Prakash, Kim Sanggun, Manav Prakash, and Ashish Kapoor, who finished just one stroke behind at 456.

As the final event of the AVT Champions Tour 2024-25, this tournament also determined the Champion Senior Golfer of the Year. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top 15 finishers in each event, and coming into Noida, it was a tight race between Sandeep Sandhu and David D’Souza. However, Sandhu’s brilliant runner-up finish in Noida secured him the prestigious title for the third time, further cementing his legacy as one of the tour’s greatest players.
