The Protouch Golf Academy hosted putting competition, which is the 1070 Skills Competition, on Sunday, March 30. Many junior golfers of the academy took part in the Chipping Skills competition to show their chipping skills.
The participants were divided into three categories based on their level of their skills and age: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The participants played two rounds.
Ainesh Roy Chowdhury and Aishani Addy: Winner and Runner Up, Beginners Category
Playing two rounds, Ainesh Roy Chowdhury won the Beginner category, followed by Aishani Addy, who finished second. Co-incidentally, Ainesh happened to have scored the highest points of the day.
Jayansh Lakhotia and Vir Nayar: Winner and Runner Up, Intermediate Category
Jayansh Lakhotia won the Intermediate category followed by Vir Nayar, who finished second.
Debarghya Addy and Ananya Dutta: Winner and Runner Up, Advanced Category
There was a tough competition between the participants of the Advanced category. While Debarghya Addy won the Advanced category, two rounds of play-off matches decided the runner up in the Advanced category. Ultimately, Ananya Dutta finished second after a neck-to-neck competition.
Uravi Mall, a participant in the Intermediate category, said, “These competitions are fun to play. This was my first participation in such a competition, and I look forward to playing more such weekly skills”.
Winner in the Advanced category, Debarghya Addy, said, “My first shots were difficult, at one point of time, I thought that this time, I will not have good scores, let aside winning a prize. This is because I am getting to see my friends play some amazing shots, and the competition today was really tough. But finally, I did it. I won!”

The day ended with all the budding golfers winning their medals, with the hope of taking part in the Skills Competition that will be held by Protouch Golf Academy in the upcoming month as well.
