Guntas Kaur Sandhu wins the IGU Gujarat Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025, that was being held at the Kensville Golf Resort, from April 9 to April 11.
Overnight leader for two consecutive rounds, Chandigarh golfer Guntas Kaur Sandhu had a difficult third round, in which she scored a 77. Guntas’s strictest competitor, Karnataka golfer Saanvi Somu (74-74-71) played her personal best in the third round by scoring a 1-under 71.
Finishing the final round with a total score of 3-under 219, Guntas and Saanvi had an exciting play-off. Winning the play-off, Guntas clinched victory in the Overall Ladies & A&B girls, A&B Girls combined, as well as the B Girls.
Saanvi Somu finished second in the Overall Ladies & A&B girls, as well as in A&B Girls combined category.
Haryana golfer Annvi Dahhiya (71-77-76) finished third in Overall Ladies & A&B Girls, and A&B Girls combined category.
Odisha golfer Kashika Misra (75-77-75) and Haryana golfer Heena Kang (79-73-75) jointly finished fourth in the Overall Ladies & A&B Girls category with a total score of 227.
Kashika Mishra also finished fourth in the A&B Girls category.
Uttar Pradesh golfer Shambhavi Chaturvedi (82-76-74) finished second in B Girls at a total score of 232, followed by Rajasthan golfer Shiksha Jain (79-78-78), and Goa golfer Rashi Mishra (79-78-78) who finished jointly third in B Girls at a total score of 235.
West Bengal golfer Anaahat Bindra (78-74-83) finished tied fourteenth in Overall Ladies & A&B Girls category, and ninth in A&B Girls with a group of golfers including Rajasthan golfer Shiksha Jain (79-74-83), Goa golfer Rashi Mishra (79-78-78), Haryana golfer Riya Jadon (78-78-79), and Manipur golfer Apeksha Grace David (77-78-80), at a total score of 235.
Ojaswini Saraswat: Winner, C Girls
Meanwhile, overnight leader in C Girls for two consecutive rounds, Ojaswini Saraswat scored her personal best of 2-over 74 in the third round, and at a total score of 226, won C Girls.
Karnataka golfer Aida Thimmaiah (81-76-77) finished second in C Girls with a total score of 234, followed by Telangana golfer Bhavika Krishnan Unni (81-77-87), who finished third in C Girls, at a total score of 245.
