Kolkata, May 16: Maharashtra’s Anuradha Chaudhuri emerged as the overall winner of the IGU West Bengal Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025 after a thrilling playoff with Odisha’s Kashika Misra. Both players finished with a total score of 217, which is 1-over par for the 54-hole tournament played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club from May 14 to 16. Anuradha shot rounds of 71, 73, and 73, while Kashika carded 72, 72, and 73.
In Category B Girls, Guntas Kaur Sandhu from Chandigarh claimed the title with a total of 223 (75, 76, 72), finishing 7-over par. Goa’s Rashi gave her a close fight and finished just one stroke behind at 224 (78, 74, 72), 8-over par.
Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat was the champion in Category C, finishing with a total score of 220 (74, 72, 74), which is 4-over par. Teesta Singh Sikarwar from Madhya Pradesh came second with a score of 231.
The tournament was played over three rounds, with each round’s par set at 72, making the total par for the event 216. The event saw top junior and lady golfers from across the country compete at one of India’s most historic golf courses
