The Protouch Golf Academy hosted the Chipping competition, which is the 1077 Skills Competition, on Sunday, May 18. Many junior golfers took part in the Chipping competition to display their skills of chipping, despite the inclement weather on Sunday.
The participants were divided into three categories, based on their level of skills and age: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. All the participants played two rounds.
Noa Munshi: Winner, Beginners’ Category
Playing two rounds, Noa Munshi, who won the 1076 Long Shot Skills Competition, last week, won the Beginners’ category in the 1077 Chipping Skills.
Kiaan Chakraborty and Riddhiman Ghosh: Joint Runner up, Beginners’ Category
Riddhiman Ghosh and Kiaan Chakraborty jointly finished second in the Beginners’ category after two interesting rounds of play off.
Another exciting play off took place between Ujaan Chakraborty and Ainesh Roy Chowdhury for the first place in the Intermediate category.

Finally, Ujaan Chakraborty won the Intermediate category, followed by Ainesh Roy Chowdhury, who finished second.
Neelarnab Ghosh and Anika Shah: Winer and Runner Up, Advanced Category
Neelarnab Ghosh won the Advanced category, followed by Anika Shah, won finished second in the Advanced category.
Ujaan Chakraborty, winner in the Intermediate category said, I wait for the Skills Competition every week, as these are fun events to play. These not only boost our confidence, but also ensures good performance during bigger tournaments”.
Anika Shah, runner up in the Advanced category, said, “I played the Skills Competition today after so long. It felt so refreshing to compete with my fellow juniors of the Protouch Golf Academy. I got to learn so many new tricks and techniques today”.

The day ended with all the junior golfers going home with their medals, eagerly waiting for the Putting competition, 1078 Skills Competition, which is going to be held next Sunday, on May 25.
