Anshul Mishra wins the WAGR Round of the CFL Amateur Open 2025, that was being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from June 11 to June 13.
The CFL Amateur Open 2025 – sixth leg of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour, was a WAGR ranked event.
Anshul had a difficult third round on June 13. After two consecutive 1-under 69 over the first two rounds, Anshul hit an even par score of 70, and at an overall score of 2-under 208, won the CFL Amateur open 2025 WAGR.
Ribhav Verma: Runner Up.
Ribhav Verma (72-73-67) played his personal best to score a 3-under 67 in the third round, and at an overall score of 2-over 212, finished second.
Dishan Ghosh (73-74-70) also played his personal best, scoring an even oar score of 70 in the third round, and at an overall score of 217, finished third in the CFL Amateur Open 2025 WAGR.
Anshul said, “I had a good week. I hit the balls better today. I was focused. The competition was tough and neck-to-neck, especially with Ribhav. But yeah, winning feels great after a long time at Tolly”.
Ribhav said, “I had a bogey free 67. I am happy with that. I felt I should have focused more on the putting over the three rounds. It was overall fun to play with Anshul and the others who played really well, and put up great competition”.
