Kolkata, 23rd June 2025 – In celebration of International Olympic Day, the Bengal Golf Association (BGA), an esteemed affiliate of the Indian Golf Union, has organized a special Golf Tournament for the caddies of various golf clubs across Kolkata. The event will be held at the iconic Royal Calcutta Golf Club and is dedicated to honoring the spirit of the Olympic Movement and promoting inclusivity in sports.

This unique initiative reflects the Bengal Golf Association’s commitment to encouraging grassroots participation and recognizing the often-overlooked role of caddies in the game of golf. Mr. Anil Bhargava, President of the Bengal Golf Association and Vice President of the Bengal Olympic Association, has been instrumental in conceptualizing and supporting this inclusive event, showcasing BGA’s vision of community upliftment through sport.

The highlight of the day will be the trophy presentation ceremony, graced by distinguished guests from the Indian Army. Lt. General R.C. Tiwari, Army Commander, along with his Chief of Staff, Lt. General Mohit Malhotra, will be presenting the trophies to the winning caddies in recognition of their talent and contribution to the sport.

Adding further prestige to the event, Mr. Chandan Roy Choudhury, President of the Bengal Olympic Association, will be present as an honored guest.
