The Protouch Golf Academy hosted Putting Competition, which is the 1083 Skills Competition, on Sunday, July 6. Participants competed across three categories – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced – with the challenge focused on completing three holes in the least number of shots.

Advitya Singhania: Winner, Beginners’ Category.

Novice Advitya Singhania won the Beginners’ category, playing two rounds.

Aativeer Jain and Ainesh Roy Chowdhury: Winner and Runner Up, Intermediate category.

Aativeer Jain won the Intermediate category, followed by Ainesh Roy Chowdhury, who finished second. Yugaansh Agarwal finished third in the Intermediate category.

Krishiv Rungta and Neelarnab Ghosh: Winner and Runner Up, Advanced category.

Meanwhile, Krishiv Rungta won the Advanced category, followed by Neelarnab Ghosh, who finished second.

Advitya Singhania, winner in the Beginners’ category, said, “This is my first time playing the Skills Competition. Golf is a sport completely new to me, and I have been learning only from the month of June. I never thought I will win the Skills Competition on my very first try”.

Krishiv Rungta, winner in the Advanced category, said, “I didn’t expect to win. I participated after a long time, and didn’t practice putting for a long time. But I am glad I could win today. Though I missed a few shots, I want to make sure that I practise every day, lest I make these errors during bigger tournaments”.

The day ended with all the junior golfers going home with a smiling face, holding their medals, eagerly waiting to participate in the Chipping in the Basket competition, which is the 1084 Skills Competition, next Sunday, on July 13.
