Ranjit Singh leads after the second round of the IGU All India Mid Amateurs and Seniors Championship 2025 which is being held at the Classic Golf and Country Club, from July 22 to July 25.

West Bengal golfer Ranjit Singh shot a 3-under 69 in the second round after a 74 in the first round. At a two-day score of 1-under 143, Singh leads the Mid Amateurs category.

Overnight leader in the Mid Amateur tegory, Lt. Col. Varoon Parmar (72-73) lay second in his category at a two-day score of 1-over 145.

West Bengal golfer Arjun Singh (78-69), Uttar Pradesh golfers Ashish Kapoor (76-71) and Simarjeet Singh (73-74), Chandigarh golfer H.S Kang (73-74), and Maharashtra golfer Raj Randhawa (73-74) lay tied third at a two-day score of 147.

Meanwhile golfers of the Senior category played their first round today, on July 23. The seniors are divided into three age categories, namely, Seniors A (55-59 years), Seniors B (60-64 years) and Seniors C (65 and above).

Arunachal Pradesh golfer Col. Hemanta Panging and Bengal golfer Gaurav Ghosh shot a 2-under 70, and currently lead the Senior A (55-59 years) after the first round.

Karnataka’s David D’ Souza shot a 2-over 74 in the Seniors A (55-59 years) category and lay second, followed by Haryana’s Jasbir Singh, who lay fourth at a score of 75.

Punjab’s Col. Kuldip Singh Sandhu and Rajasthan’s Pushpendra Rathore shot an even par score of 72 and jointly lead the Seniors B Category (60-64 years), followed by Punjab’s Darvesh Kumar and Haryana’s Pulak Chakraborty, who lay third and fourth at scores of 75 and 76 respectively.

Haryana’s Amardeep Singh Bajwa leads the Seniors C Category (65 years and above).

Delhi’s Gangesh Khaitan, Maharashtra’s Dhananjay N. Date and Uttar Pradesh’s Dr. Kashmir Singh lay tied second at a score of 76, followed by Delhi’s Sanjiv Kalra, West Bengal’s Lakshman Singh and Uttar Pradesh’s Vijay Kumar, who lay tied fifth at a score of 79.
