Eugenio Chacarra made his move on the moving round of the Italian Open 2026, which is being held at the Circolo Golf Tirono, Fiano, Tirono, Italy, from June 25 to June 28.
Spanish golfer Eugenio Chacarra (66-65-65) maintained consistent performance shooting back to back 6-under 65 in the second and third rounds respectively following a 5-under 66 in the opening round. At a three day massive score of 17-under 196, made his move on the moving round, to climb the leaderboard with the top score of the day.
Overnight leader for two consecutive rounds, Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann (64-63-71), who started off with impressive scores of a 7-under 64 and 8-under 63 in the first two rounds respectively, had a difficult third round, in which he shot an even par score of 71, and at a three day score of 15-under 198, lay tied second jointly with England’s Matt Wallace (69-62-67), who also played a difficult third round after shooting a 4-under 67.
Spain’s Angel Ayora (66-63-71) played a difficult second round in which he shot an even par score of 71 following a 5-under 66 and 8-under 63 respectively in the first two rounds. At a three day score of 13-under 200, Ayora lay tied fourth with German Nicolai von Dellinghausen (69-67-64), who shot a 7-under 64 in the third round, his best score so far in the tournament.
