Guntas Kaur Sandhu Wins the IGU West Bengal Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2026, which was being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from April 14 to April 16.

Guntas (71-74-72) had a great start with a 1-over 71 in the first round followed by a difficult second round in which she shot a 74. By making up with a 2-over 72 in the third round, Guntas won the Ladies and A&B Girls Combined category as well as the A&B Girls Combined category at an overall score of 217.

Gujarat golfer Janneya A. Dassanniee (72-75-72) started off with a 2-over 72 in the first round. Following a difficult second round, in which she shot a 75, Janneya recovered in the third round with a 2-over 72 and finished second in the Ladies and A & B Girls Combined category at an overall score of 219.

Haryana golfer Ceerat Kang (70-76-75) finished third in the Ladies and A & B Girls Combined category at an overall score of 221.

Karnataka golfers Priya Kumari (74-76-72) shot her personal best of a 2-over 72 in the third round and rose the leaderboard to finish second in the A&B Girls Combined category at an overall score of 222, followed by a group of golfers, including Rajasthan golfers Ojaswini Saraswat (74-78-72), and Shiksha Jain (69-77-78), and Haryana golfer Smira Bhambri (73-73-78), who finished tied third at an overall score of 224.

Category B Girls saw neck to neck competition between Ojaswini, Shiksha and Smira, who finished at 224. A three way play off determined Smira as the second runner up in B Girls.

Ojaswini Saraswat: Winner, B Girls.

A two way play off followed, in which Shiksha finished second, with Ojaswini, who competed in the B Girls category for the first time, winning the category.

Meanwhile, Karnataka golfer Aashna Amogha (86-79-86) won category C Girls at an overall score of 251, followed by Haryana’s Aaliyah Kalra (87-80-88) and Delhi’s Amaira Gulati (89-84-84), who finished second and third with overall scores of 255 and 257 respectively.
