Joaquin Niemann maintains overnight lead in the second round of the Italian Open 2026, which is being held from June 25 to June 28 at the Circolo Golf Tirono, Fiano, Tirono, Italy.

Overnight co-leader, Chilean professional golfer Joaquin Niemann (64-63) improved his performance, shooting an impressive 8-under 63 in the second round after a 7-under 64 in the opening round and at a two-day score of 15-under 127, maintained halfway lead.

Spanish golfer Angel Ayora (66-63) improved his game to shoot an impressive 8-under 63 in the second round following a 5-under 66 in the first round and at a two-day score of 13-under 129, lay second.

France’s Tom Vaillant (65-66) had a difficult second round in which he shot a 5-under 66 following a 6-under 65 in the first round and at a two-day score of 11-under 131, lay tied third with a group of golfers including Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra (65-66) and England’s Matt Wallace (69-62). In fact, Wallace climbed the leaderboard by shooting an excellent 9-under 62 in the second round.
