Ranveer Mitroo wins the IGU Telangana Amateur Championship, which was being held at the Hyderabad Golf Club, from April 14 to April 17.
Ranveer Mitroo (66-69-69-63) started off with an impressive 4-under 66 in the first round, but had difficult second and third rounds, in which he shot a 1-under 69 consecutively. In the fourth round, Mitroo shot a fantastic 7-under 63, and at a phenomenal overall score of 13-under 267, won the IGU Telangana Amateur Championship 2026.
Haryana’s Gulfam Hussain (66-68-69-67) played a 3-under 67, after opening with an impressive 4-under 66, a 2-under 68 and 1-under 69, in the first, second and third rounds respectively. At an impressive overall score of 10-under 270, finished second.
Bengal lad Anshul Mishra (70-63-71-67) opened with a level par score of 70, but played an impressive second round, in which he shot a 7-under 63. He had a difficult third round, however, in which he shot a 1-over 71, but quickly improved in the fourth round, in which he shot a 3-under 67. Finally, at an overall score of 9-under 271, Anshul finished jointly tied third with Delhi’s Deepak Yadav (69-67-67-68).
