Ribhav Verma wins the seventh leg of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour – Kolkata Masters 2025, which is being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from August 6 to August 7.
Overnight leader Ribhav Verma shot a 4-under 65 and played a better second round, after a 1-under 68 in the first round. At a total score of 5-under 138, Ribhav won the Amateur category.
Ribhav Verma was chased by Ramayush Ray. Scoring a 71 in the second round, after first round’s 70, Ramayush finished second in the Amateur category at a total score of 141.
With an overall score of 146, Samridh Sen (74-72) finished third in the Amateur category, followed by Saquib Hussain (70-77), who finished fourth at an overall score of 147.
Overnight leader in the Mid-Amateur category, G. Suresh Sharma (88-77) played a better second round, and won the Mid-Amateur category at an overall score of 165. Benjamin Konop (93-88) also played a better second round, and finished second in the Mid-Amateur category at a total score of 181.
Meanwhile, overnight leader Anwesha Das (76-75) won the Ladies category at an overall score of 151.
Overnight leader in the Senior category, Col. Shreekant Tiwari (70-74) won his category at a total score of 144, followed by Captain Rana Chatterji (79-83), who finished second at an overall score of 162.
Capt. Chatterji also won the Super Senior category, followed by Ravindra Singhania (110-91), who finished second in the Super Senior category.
The Kolkata Masters 2025 is an WAGR ranking event, the final round of which is going to be conducted tomorrow, on August 8. Currently, after the second round of the Kolkata Masters 2025, Ribhav Verma (68-65) is leading the WAGR, followed by Ramayush Ray (70-71), and Samridh Sen (74-72), who lay second and third respectively.
