Karnataka’s Saanvi Somu clinched victory at the IGU Chandigarh Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship 2025 after a stellar three-day performance at the Chandigarh Golf Club, held from May 14 to 16.
Saanvi shot a final round of 74 to finish with a total score of 221, securing the top spot in the Combined Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category as well as the Combined A&B Girls category.
Haryana’s Ceerat Kang, and her state-mate Riya Jadon finished tied second at 223 followed by Haryana’s Anvvi Dahhiya, who finished fourth in Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category, at an overall score of 224.
West Bengal golfer Shiinjinii Mukherjee (75-78-78) finished tied fourteenth in the Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category, with Karnataka’s Aradhya Shetty (78-78-75), at an overall score of 231.
While Riya Jadon also finished second in the A&B Girls Combined category, Anvvi Dahhiya finished third in the A&B Girls Combined category.

Mehak Lohan: Winner, Category B Girls
In the B Girls category, Chandigarh’s Mehak Lohan topped her category with a total score of 225. Haryana’s Smira Bhambri finished second with a score of 236, followed by Punjab’s Rabab Kahlon, who finished third at an overall score of 240. Chandigarh’s Amreen Sandhu rounded off the top five at 237.

Ojaswini Saraswat: Winner, Category C Girls.
In the C Girls category, Rajasthan’s Ojaswini Saraswat held her lead from start to finish, carding a 76 on the final day to win with a total of 224. Madhya Pradesh’s Teesta Singh Sikarwar followed in second place at 233, and Uttarakhand’s Aanya Dandriyal finished third at 253.
The IGU Chandigarh Ladies and Junior Girls Tournament concluded with stellar performances across all categories, showcasing exceptional young golfing talent.
The prize distribution ceremony was inaugurated with an inspiring opening speech by Mr. Harpuneet Singh Sandhu, IGU Council Member and Chairman, Indian National Golf Team, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of nurturing future champions.
The Chandigarh Golf Club provided players with excellent course conditions despite the weather conditions. The prize ceremony was graced by the Managing Committee of the club, adding to the event’s prestige.
