Saquib Hussain leads the Amateur category after the opening round of the Rajesh Kumar Poddar Memorial Amateur Open 2026, being played at Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, as part of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour 2026. Hussain carded a 5 over par 75, Raja Babu Ali, Andrew Baid and Jashan Bhaarat Shah are close behind Hussain after the opening round, setting up a competitive second round in the Amateur category.

In the Mid Amateur section, Raja Babu Ali leads, while Debosmita Das is at the top of the Ladies category.

Amit Bhowmick leads the Senior category, while Dr. Ashish Kumar heads the Super Senior section after the opening round.

The tournament continues at Tollygunge Club, with players looking to improve their positions in the rounds ahead.
