Sonu Kumar Singh and Sahil Kumar Singh jointly lead after the first round of the Patna Amateur Masters Cup 2026 – Leg 2 of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour, which is being held at the Patna Golf Club, from April 18 to April 19.
Over 30 amateur, id-amateur, senior and super senior golfers will be seen playing two great rounds of golf over 36 holes with great spirit and enthusiasm at the Patna Golf Club. The participants are divided into the following age categories:
The golfers are divided into 5 age categories, namely:
Sonu Kumar Singh and Sahil Kumar Singh both shot 2-over 73 in the first round to lead the Amateur category.
Kundan Kumar and Kanhai Prasad both shot 74, and currently lay tied third jointly in the Amateur category.
Sahil Kumar Singh shot a 2-over 73 in the first round to lead the Mid-Amateur category, followed by Kanhai Prasad and Col. Pradeep Raj, who shot a 74 and an 86 respectively, and currently lay second and third respectively in the Mid-Amateur category.
In the Senior category, Captain Rajiv Ranjan shot an 80 and is currently leading the Senior category, followed by B. V Srihari Rao and S. C Singh, who shot an 81 and an 84, and lay second and third respectively in the Senior category.
Meanwhile, B. V Srihari Rao leads the Super Senior category, followed by S. C Singh, who lay second.
The event features strong local representation, with all eyes on Sahil Kumar Singh, last year’s champion, who returns as a top contender. In the Senior category, S. C Singh, representing the Patna Golf Club, will aim to extend his remarkable dominance in the Super Senior category, having won the title for the past three consecutive years.
The tournament is being held at Patna Golf Club, a venue with a rich legacy. Notably, it hosted the inaugural edition of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour in 2018. This year, the course is expected to be in pristine condition, having recently hosted a PGTI tournament from 24th to 26th March 2026.
