The Irish Open will return with a glittering lineup this September, as some of golf’s biggest names descend on the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg from 9–13 September.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy and two‑time major winner Jon Rahm headline a field that blends international stars with homegrown heroes. Irish favourites Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington are set to thrill the locals, while European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald and Tyrrell Hatton add further to the already impressive field. The dynamic Danish brothers, Rasmus and Nicolai Hojgaard, will also tee it up, bringing flair to the championship.

American Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, arrives in Ireland riding a wave of momentum. Having already claimed two DP World Tour victories this season, Reed currently leads the Race to Dubai standings. His decision to leave LIV Golf earlier this year has opened the door for his return to the PGA Tour, making his appearance at Doonbeg a significant moment in his career resurgence.

Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre, currently ranked world No. 17, will make his first start since finishing tied for 28th at the Open Championship. The 30‑year‑old had planned to return to the United States for the PGA Tour’s season finale before competing at the  BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The Irish Open, staged just a week before Wentworth, offers him a timely opportunity to sharpen his game.

Former Open champion Francesco Molinari and Austrian standout Sepp Straka add further depth to the field, ensuring a mix of proven winners and rising contenders.
