Rabat, Morocco, 5 June 2026: A unique three-week golf swing in Morocco is turning ambition into opportunity, creating a direct route for emerging talents to progress from the Asian Development Tour (ADT), through the Asian Tour, and onto the global stage of The International Series. For the first time in Morocco’s golfing history, aspiring professionals have the chance to earn their way through three successive levels of competition in a single country, culminating in a place alongside Major champions, LIV Golf stars and some of the biggest names in international golf.
The initiative is the result of a collaborative effort between the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the Moroccan National Tourism Office, the Indian Golf Premiere League (IGPL), the Asian Tour and The International Series, united by a shared commitment to developing the next generation of talent and creating meaningful opportunities for players to advance through the professional ranks.
For Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, the Morocco swing showcases the power of collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation of golfers.
“At The International Series, we want to create more than just tournaments. We want to help build an ecosystem where players can progress, gain exposure to the highest levels of the game, and ultimately realise their potential. This Morocco swing is a great example of what can be achieved when partners come together with that shared ambition.”
The journey began last week at the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026 at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in El Jadida, where Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool and Bangladesh’s Siddikur Rahman secured places in this week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic.
Now competing against established Asian Tour players, they are one strong performance away from another career-defining step. The leading players from the am green IGPL Bharath Classic who are not otherwise exempt will earn coveted places in next week’s International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco, completing a remarkable rise from development-tour hopefuls to contenders on one of golf’s premier international stages.
Awaiting them in Rabat is a world-class field featuring Major champions Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia, LIV Golf stars Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace, defending champion Scott Vincent, and many of the Asian Tour’s leading players. For the successful qualifiers, it is a rare opportunity to test themselves against proven champions at the highest level of competition available through The International Series.
The pathway is also creating opportunities closer to home. This week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic features 12 Moroccan players, including eight amateurs, led by home favourite Ayoub Lguirati, reflecting the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation’s continued commitment to nurturing local talent and providing homegrown players with access to elite international competition.
Further strengthening the initiative is the support of IGPL, a strategic partner of both the Asian Tour and The International Series. Through its title sponsorship of the two events in El Jadida, IGPL has helped expand opportunities for emerging Indian players to gain international experience and accelerate their development against stronger fields.
