Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, October 2, 2026: India’s Veer Ahlawat fired a five-under 65 to move into 10th position after round three of the men’s golf event at the Asian Games 2026. Veer (71-68-65) was the best-placed Indian in the men’s individual event at six-under 204, trailing leader Joohyung Kim of Korea by six shots.

In the men’s team event, where the top two scores of each round are counted, the Indian team occupied sixth place at 11-under 409. Korea led the team event at 20-under 400 at the Kasugai Country Club East Course.

Veer Ahlawat, the 2024 DP World PGTI Order of Merit champion, made six birdies and a bogey during his third round. The highlight of his round were the four birdies on the back-nine.

Saptak Talwar (66-68-71) came up with a one-over 71 in round three to close the day in 11th place at five-under 205.

Yuvraj Sandhu (71-69-71) also produced a 71 on Friday to be placed tied 23rd at one-over 211.

In the women’s competition, India is in contention for medals in both the individual and team events.

India’s Pranavi Urs leads the field by three shots at a total of 15-under 195 in the women’s individual event. Diksha Dagar and Aditi Ashok are placed tied 18th at five-over 215.

In the women’s team event, India is placed second at 11-under 409, four shots behind leader China.
