American professional golfer Wyndham Clark made multiple birdies on the opening round and at a score of 6-under 66, leads the prestigious US Open.
A group of golfers including America’s Sam Stevens, Ryder Cowan, Max McGreevy, Dustin Johnson, and Gary Woodland, England’s Matt Fitzpatrick and Spain’d Jon Rahm jointly lay tied second, each shooting a 2-under 70 in the opening round.
Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy and America’s Bryson DeChambeau lay tied ninth jointly after the first round with a group of golfers including Swedish Ludvig Aberg, American Max Greyserman, Brian Harman, Ben James, and Ben Kohles and Canada’s Corey Conners and Spanish Angel Hidalgo at an opening score of 1-under 71.
