Odisha golfer Kashika Misra earned a just reward for her consistency in the final round of the IGU Northern India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship, being played at the Jaypee Greens, Wishtown, Noida, from November 19 to November 21.
Kashika Misra (67-65-67), the overnight leader by five shots, shot a 3-under 67, in the final round, to end the tournament with a total of 11-under 199, and won the categories Ladies & A&B Girls Combined, as well as A&B Girls Combined.

Punjab’s Mannat Brar shot a 4-under 66, the best score of the day, to end the tournament with a total of 7-under 203 and tied second from Ladies & A&B Girls Combined category with Haryana golfer Heena Kang (66-68-69) on countback. While Heena won the Ladies category, Mannat secured the second position from A&B Girls Combined.
Overnight leader Saanvi Somu was placed at third from A&B Girls Combined as well as fourth from Ladies & A&B Girls Combined with a total of 6-under 204.
Rajasthan golfer Ojaswini Saraswat won Category C Girls, by shooting a 2-under 68, at a total of 8-under 202 maintaining her dominance in the final round after being the overnight leader for two rounds in succession.
Delhi’s Anuska Gupta (70-68-71) was placed second from C Girls at a total of 1-under 209, followed by Haryana’s Naina Kapoor (69-72-72), who was placed third from C Girls with a total of 213.
Haryana’s Lavanya Jadon (64-73-70) from Ladies category ended the tournament with 3-under 207 and was placed second. Karnataka’s Leya Viswanathan (75-73-73) was placed third with a total of 221.
Rashi Mishra: Winner from Category B Girls
Goa golfer Rashi Mishra (74-74-77) maintained her dominance and won Category B Girls at a total of 225, followed by Delhi’s Rehnoor Malik (72-79-77) and Delhi’s Aahana Kashyap (76-79-76) who became the runner up and the second runner up with total scores of 228 and 231 respectively.
Shinjini Mukherjee (77-73-75) was placed best at fourth on the third round among the West Bengal golfers, at a total of 225. West Bengal’s Mehak Lohan (78-76-81) finished tied eighth from B Girls with a total of 235.
The day concluded with the award ceremony where the winners were rewarded for their display of great golfing skills throughout the three rounds at the IGU Northern India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship.
