Spain’s Jon Rahm (-23) delivered a champion’s performance at Yas Links, closing with a five-under-par final round to secure victory at the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship 2026. Holding the lead heading into Sunday, Rahm never allowed the chasing pack a real opportunity, collecting one of the most significant titles of the DP World Tour season.
England’s Tyrrell Hatton (-21) mounted a spirited challenge with a closing 68 (-4), but the gap proved too large to bridge. Hatton’s runner-up finish capped off a consistent week in which he remained among the contenders from start to finish.
Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy (-19) finished third after a solid final-round 69 (-3). The former World No. 1 kept himself in contention throughout the week and added another strong result at one of his favourite Middle East stops.
Italy’s Francesco Laporta (-17) claimed fourth place on his own, while a trio of players shared fifth at -16. Spain’s David Puig (-16) and Angel Ayora (-16) both finished strongly, while Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger (-16) produced a four-under-par round to climb into the top five.
South Africa’s Jayden Schaper (-15) secured eighth place after another under-par effort, continuing his impressive season on the DP World Tour.
A five-way tie for ninth at -14 featured England’s Nathan Kimsey (-14) and Matthew Jordan (-14), Australia’s Adam Scott (-14), France’s Frédéric Lacroix (-14) and Germany’s Freddy Schott (-14). Schott and Lacroix were among the day’s biggest movers, both carding excellent rounds to break into the top ten.
