West Bengal golfer Aryav Shah edges out overnight co-leaders Sukhman Singh and Shaurya Sharma to win the IGU Tamil Nadu Amateur Championship.
Aryav (72-72-73-69) played a good game on the fourth round to end the finale at a total of 2-under 286, and emerged as the champion of the tournament.
Delhi golfer Rakshit Dahiya (71-72-73-71) was placed second at a total of 1-under 287 on a count back.
Overnight co-leader, Uttar Pradesh golfer Sukhman Singh (74-70-71-72) tied second with Rakshit at a total of 1-under 287.
Chandigarh’s Shaurya Sharma (69-72-74-73), who lead on the third round along with Sukhman, finished the final round at a total of 288, and secured the fourth position.
Maharashtra’s Shamit Dakhane (77-72-75-69) was placed fifth at a total of 293.
The four-day long tournament was wrapped up with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners and the runners-up were rewarded for the golfing prowess and camaraderie that they displayed throughout the four rounds.
