Ishaan rises on the leaderboard after the second round of the IGU Tamil Nadu Amateur Golf Championship 2025, which is being held at the Coimbatore Golf Club, from March 4 to March 7.
Gujarat golfer Ishaan Chawhan, who lay tied third after the first round with a score of 71, scored a 6-under 66 in the second round, and with a second-round total of 7-under 137, leads the leaderboard.
Veer Ganapathy maintained a consistency in his performance. Scoring a 2-under 70 even in the second round, Ganapathy lay second at a second-round total of 4-under 140.
Meanwhile, West Bengal golfer Aryav Shah, who lay tied seventh after the first round with a level par score, scored a 3-under 69 in the second round, and with a second-round score of 3-under 141, lay third.
Overnight leader Punjab golfer Danish Verma scored a 2-over 74 in the second round after scoring a 3-under 69 in the first round, and with a second-round total of 1-under 143, lay tied fourth with Uttar Pradesh golfer Kanav Chouhan (74-69).
Apart from Aryav Shah, West Bengal golfer Sandeep Yadav (73-72) lay tied seventh with a team of golfers including Delhi golfers Ranveer Mitroo and Yash Chaudhury at a second-day total of 1-over 145.
