The Protouch Golf Academy hosted Chipping competition, which is the 1084 Skills Competition, on Sunday, July 13. Many junior golfers took part in the day’s competition to display their chipping skills.

Participants competed across three categories—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—with the challenge focused on chipping in a total of six balls over two rounds into a basket.

Kiaan Chakraborty: Winner, Beginners’ category.

Playing two rounds, Kiaan Chakraborty won the Beginners’ category.

Advika Agarwal and Advitya SInghania: Runner Up and Second Runner Up, Beginners’ category.

Two rounds of exciting play-offs followed to decide the runner up, after which Advika Agarwal and Advitya Singhania finished  second and third respectively in the Beginners’ category.

Ujaan Chakraborty: Winner, Intermediate category.

The competition that unfolded among the participants of the Intermediate category was exciting. While Ujaan Chakraborty won the Intermediate category after two rounds, three rounds of play-offs were incapable to decide the runner up and the second runner up.

Ayaansh Prasad and Aativeer Jain: Runner Up and Second Runner Up in Intermediate category.

Ultimately, Ayaansh Prasad and Aativeer Jain finished second and third respectively in the Intermediate category.

Krishiv Rungta: Winner, Advanced category.

Meanwhile, Krishiv Rungta won the Advanced category after playing two rounds.

Neelarnab Ghosh and Mannan Agarwal: Runner Up and Second Runner Up, Advanced category.

After a round of play off, Neelarnab Ghosh finished second, followed by Mannan Agarwal, who finished third in the Advanced category.

Jaydeep Chakraborty, father of Kiaan Chakraborty and Ujaan Chakraborty, winners in the Beginners’ and Intermediate categories respectively, said, “Kudos to the Protouch team for conducting these Skills Competitions every week. My sons are always super excited to participate in the Skills Competition and wait all week. These competitions not only encourage them to play well but also develop their skills which ultimately help the children to do well during bigger tournaments”.

Winner in the Advanced category, Krishiv Rungta said, “Today’s challenge was hard, very hard. But in the end, these challenges shape us into golfers that we aspire to become in the future”.

Ayaansh Prasad, runner up in the Intermediate category, said, “What a tough challenge! I am glad that I finished second. This was definitely a lesson for me to take my short game more seriously”.

The day ended with all the junior golfers going home with their medals, eagerly waiting for the 1085 Skills Competition on Sunday, July 20, in which Long Shot Skills is going to be played.
