Aranyak Chakraborty clinched victory in the Kolkata Amateur Masters 2026 – Leg 5 of the IGU East Zone Feeder Tour, which was being held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, from June 10 to June 11.

Over 63 Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Senior, Super Senior and Ladies golfers participated in the tournament, in the following categories:

  1. Amateur (14-34 years)
  2. Mid-Amateur (35-54 years)
  3. Senior (55-64 years)
  4. Super Senior (65 years and above)
  5. Ladies category (Above 14 years)

Aranyak Chakraborty: Winner, Amateur Category

Overnight leader in the Amateur category, Aranyak Chakraborty (70-71) shot a 1-over 71 in the second round, after an even par score of 70 in the first round, and at a total score of 1-over 141, won the Amateur category.

Gurshaan S. Grewal (78-75) played a better second round, shooting a 75 after the first round’s 78, and at an overall score of 153, finished second in Amateur category.

Andrew Baid (82-74) also played a better second round in which he shot a 74, and at an overall score of 156, finished third in the Amateur category.

Overnight leader the Ladies category, Samaira Chitlangia (76-76) maintained consistent scores, shooting a 76 in the first and the second rounds, and at an overall score of 152, won the Ladies category.

Overnight leader in the Mid-Amateur category, Raja Babu Ali (84-76) played a better second round, shooting a 76, after an 84 in the first round and at overall score of 160, won the Mid-Amateur category.

Pawan Kumar Yadav (84-78) also played a better second round, in which he shot a 78, following an 84 in the first round, and at an overall score of 162, finished second in the Mid-Amateur category.

Dr. Ashish Kumar won the Senior and the Super Senior category, followed by Col. Shreekant Tiwari and Ranjan Das, who finished second and third respectively in the Senior category.

Ravindra Kr. Singhania finished second in the Super Senior category.
