Arkaprovo Choudhury wins the Bengal Junior Open 2026 – Leg 3 of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour, which was being held at the Suryodaya Environmental Park and Training Area (SEPTA), Kolkata, from May 2 to May 3.

With the practice round scheduled on May 1, over 61 junior golfers participated in the two round tournament.

Overnight leader in the A&B Boys and B Boys category, Arkaprovo Choudhury (76-78) had a difficult second round in which he shot a 78, following a 76 in the first round. At an overall score of 154, Arkaprovo won the A&B Boys as well as B Boys category.

Arghya Shah (80-75) played a better second round shooting a 75, and at an overall score of 155, finished second in the A&B Boys category, followed by Andrew Baid (81-77), who also played a better second round, and at an overall score of 158, finished third in the A&B Boys category.

Krishiv Rungta (85-75) played a better second round, shooting a 75, and finished second in B Boys at an overall score of 160, followed by Hrian Khem (80-83), who finished third in B Boys at an overall score of 163.

Overnight leader in the A&B Girls category, Samaira Chitlangia (78-79) won her category at an overall score of 157, followed by Naina Dinodiya (90-89), who finished second in A&B Girls category at an overall score of 179.

Playing a better second round by shooting a 77, overnight leader in C Boys Ayaan Mimani won his category at an overall score of 162.

 Aarav Singh (91-87) finished second in C Boys at an overall score of 178, followed by Taksh Pandey (99-98), who finished third in C Boys at an overall score of 197 by playing a better second round.

Shaurish Sen (96-101) finished fourth at an overall score of 197.

The participants of C Girls, D Boys & Girls and E Boys and Girls played a total of 18 holes over two consecutive rounds.

Overnight leaderVaanyaa Rustagi (43-43) maintained consistency over the two rounds, and at a total score of 86, won category C Girls.

Myra Kaur Chandok (47-51) finished second at a total score of 98, followed by Medhavi Ashwini Kaul, who finished third.

Overnight leader Jayansh Lakhotia (44-43) won category D Boys at an overall score of 87, after playing 18 holes, followed by Aativeer Jain and Yugaansh Agarwal, who finished second and third in D Boys respectively.

Overnight leader Duaa Singh won category D Girls, followed by Ojaswini Sarkar and Advika Agarwal, who finished second and third respectively in D Girls.

Reshab Roy (44-42) played a better second round, shooting a 42, the best second day score among the players who played a total of 18 holes over two rounds, won category E Boys at an overall score of 86.

Kiaan Chakraborty (48-42) also played a better second round, and at an overall score of 90 finished second in E Boys, followed by Jaivardhan Singhania (47-45), who finished third in D Boys at an overall score of 92.

Overnight leader in E Girls, Ruhi Nayar (38-42) had a difficult second round, in which she shot a 42. At an overall score of 80, the best overall score among the 18 hole players, Ruhi won category E Girls.
