EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France – With her victory at The Amundi Evian Championship, Grace Kim becomes the third consecutive player to earn her first major at Evian Resort Golf Club in France, joining Ayaka Furue and Celine Boutier. Kim also earned 60 points toward the 2025 Rolex ANNIKA Major Award, bringing her into the top three in the current standings.
Kim began the day tied for third behind Cara Gainer and Gabriela Ruffels. Heading into the final hole, Kim eagled No. 18 to force a playoff with Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul. After chipping in for birdie on the first playoff hole, she sank her second eagle putt of the day on No. 18 to claim her first major championship. Earning her second career victory and first victory in a major championship, she also became the 19th different winner on the LPGA Tour in 2025 through 18 events. This also marks the first time two different Australians have won major championships in a single season on both the LPGA Tour and PGA Tour, with Kim becoming the second consecutive Australian to win a major championship, following Minjee Lee’s win at the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
The Rolex ANNIKA Major Award recognizes the player who, during the current LPGA Tour season, has the most outstanding record in all five major championships. Points will be awarded at all five major championships to competitors who finish among the top 10 and ties. In order to earn the award by year’s end, a player must win at least one of the five major titles.
The winner of the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award will be announced following the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open and will be honored in November at the Rolex LPGA Awards at the CME Group Tour Championship.
