The Protouch Golf Academy hosted Long Shot Competition, which is the 1085 Skills Competition, on Sunday, July 20. Many junior golfers of the academy took part in the Long Shot Skills Competition to display their skills.

The participants were divided into three categories based on the level of their skills and age: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The participants from all the categories played two rounds.

Rohin Moitra and Advitya Singhania: Winner and Runner up, Beginners’ Category.

Playing two rounds, Rohin Moitra won the Beginners’ category. Novice Advitya Singhania finished second in the Beginners’ category.

Yugaansh Agarwal: Winner, Interemediate Category.

Yugaansh Agarwal won the Intermediate category. There was an exciting play-off in the Intermediate category for the second place, for which, Jayansh Lakhotia and Aativeer Jain tied jointly.

Jayansh Lakhotia and Aativeer Jain; Runner Up and Second Runner Up, Intermediate Category.

Ultimately, Jayansh finished second in the Intermediate category after two rounds of play-off, followed by Aativeer Jain, who finished third.

Mannan Agarwal: Winner, Advanced Category.

Meanwhile, Mannan Agarwal won the Advanced category.

Winner in the Beginners’ category, Rohin Moitra said, “I have not played Skills Competition for a few months now. Honestly, I didn’t think I would win today. I am happy. My coach told me that I played well today, and that I should aim at playing better”.

Yugaansh Agarwal, winner in the Intermediate category, still had a shocked look on his face when his name was declared, and said, “It was unexpected to be honest. Last few skills competition has been really tough and I didn’t play well. I am glad that it worked out today”.

The day ended with all the junior golfers going home with their medals, eagerly waiting for the Chipping in the Ring competition, 1086 Skills Competition, which is going to be held next Sunday, on July 27.
