Former U. S. President Donald Trump’s recent trip to Scotland was not only about playing golf or talking politics; it also featured a special black buggy known as “Golf Force One.” This vehicle was seen following him around the well-known Turnberry resort and stood out because it looked more like a military vehicle than a golf cart. However, there is a serious reason for this unusual sight.

After two attempts on his life in 2024, one at a golf location in Florida and another at a political event, Trump’s security team has increased their precautions. Golf courses, with their open spaces and large crowds, can be risky, so having Golf Force One is a smart way to address that risk.

This cart is not just any regular buggy. It is thought to be a modified Polaris Ranger XP, which is light enough to drive without harming the course but is tough with armoured sides, bulletproof glass, and special tyres that won’t go flat. It likely also contains communication equipment and protective tools, though the exact information is not being shared.

Reports say that the buggy is operated by trained security agents who stay close to Trump, especially in areas where bigger vehicles cannot go due to narrow or uneven paths.

Trump’s trip to Scotland involved more than just golf. He met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and EU President Ursula von der Leyen at Turnberry to casually discuss things like international trade, support for Ukraine, and aid efforts in the Middle East. He also opened a new golf course at his Balmedie property.

At the same time, protests occurred in cities such as Edinburgh and Ayr, where people voiced their worries about Trump’s political past, effects on the environment, and ongoing legal issues. The situation turned more serious when a bomb threat caused a flight to change course near Glasgow Airport, showing just how tight the security was during his visit.

Amid all this, a video appeared online showing one of Trump’s caddies seemingly moving his golf ball to get a better position. This clip brought back old jokes and criticism about his actions on the golf course. While many dismissed it as just another typical Trump moment, it still added to the discussions about his visit.

Trump’s trip to Scotland was a mix of business, diplomacy, and personal time. But the presence of Golf Force One highlights how even simple times on the golf course are now surrounded by extra precautions.

For some, it was a reminder of the increasing dangers public figures face, especially someone as controversial as Trump. For others, it was a strange sight to see an armoured buggy smoothly cruising through the beautiful links of Turnberry, almost like a scene from a spy movie.
